Use CMYK colours

Your screen shows RGB. Printed cards use CMYK. Always convert your design to CMYK before exporting to avoid colour shifts.

Tip: export at 300–600 dpi for sharpest results

Extend background colours 3mm beyond the trim edge. Keep all important text at least 3mm inside the trim line so nothing gets cut off.

Pick the right gsm for your brand

260gsm feels like most cards you receive. 310gsm is noticeably thicker and commands more respect. 350gsm is the thickest — best for premium brands.

Keep it focused

A great business card has one purpose: make it easy to remember you and follow up. Limit to name, role, company, and 2–3 contact methods.

Minimum font size: 8pt

Mind the texture warning

For premium linen and Suwen cards, avoid large solid colour areas — the paper texture can cause uneven ink absorption. Use your logo and text on a lighter background.
